blog award!

So, I was sitting in my room thinking about how long it had been since I'd done a post, and how I had nothing to write about, and what a dismal state of affairs this was, when ALL OF A SUDDEN it occurred to me that some time ago this lovely lady nominated me for a blog award! Wasn't that nice of her?

Movie Love: 20 Reasons 'Frozen' Is The Best Disney Movie Yet | YourTango

Basically, how this works is I answer the questions she left for me, and then ask a few of my own! I'm supposed to tag a certain number of people...buuuuut if I did that, I'd be sure to leave someone out! So, if you'd like to answer my questions, consider yourself tagged!

Abbey's questions:

What is the car of your dreams?
Um. Well, this is embarrassing. I can't say I think about cars very often? I'd love one of my own ~ other than that I'm not too picky. Except I would never ever enjoy owning a brown car. Ee-yuck!!
What's your jam? (aka favorite song of all time)
This changes every few weeks, mostly because I play my favourites on repeat until I can't stand them anymore. (oops!) Right now I am in love with these two songs by Christina Perri: 1, 2

Best bit of advice someone has ever given you?
I can't think of one specific piece of life advice at the moment...but the best writing advice anyone ever gave me was "quality, not quantity." It's better to have a short, stunning piece of work than a long and boring one.

Do you prefer light, pastel colors or darker, jewel tones?
Both! Haha I know that's not really fair. I love pastel tones in the spring and summer (even though I wear them year-round), and I think jewel tones are so warm and cozy in the fall and winter.

If you could go back in time, what era would you go to?
Definitely Pride and Prejudice era. The dresses! The horses! Darcy! (I'd also be perfectly happy living at Downton Abbey, or in Avonlea with Anne of Green Gables.)

Couples Whose Love Reminds Us of Elizabeth and Darcy |Bookish.com THESE!! ALL OF THESE SO MUCH!! I have shipped all of these so very, very much

Would you rather spend a week in a busy city filled with excitement + people, or in the quiet countryside surrounded by the beauty of nature?
How about we compromise and I go to the countryside with my family and best friends and we have a big noisy party surrounded by the quiet beauty of nature? Is that still okay?
If you're interested in doing this tag, here are a few of my questions for you!

Olivia's questions:
Are you an early bird or night owl?
What would you do tomorrow if you knew you could not fail?
What is one book you wish everyone would read? (or one book no one should ever peek inside)
If you had one super-enhanced sense (taste, smell, touch, hearing, or sight) which would it be?
Would you ever ride an elephant?
Skydiving or scuba diving? Why?

fyi, I survived exams!! Whew. But now that I actually have some time on my hands, I have nothing to read! Please help!

xx
Olivia

  1. My favorite time period of ever is 1900-1920. If I could live in those years on an endless loop I would be a happy little duck. :)
These questions are so much fun, and yay for surviving exams! Cake all around!

    1. Um, oops! :p Haha I had not realized that, but Hannah-my-sister and I had a good laugh when we went back through and looked at them! And no, I don't think there's a name...Abbey didn't use one in particular. :) You could double-check her blog to be sure, though!
